1001 Albums Summary

Overall, a decent album. I don’t see myself revisiting often, but nothing I object to either. - had no idea Respect was not written by Aretha, very different feel in the original here - love the horns on this album - lots of dynamics - did not realize how many of these songs I knew - cover of Stones’ satisfaction, a song I don’t really like, and I don’t care for this version much either

- this intro is wild, very progressive and still has some Bowie feel - I get why this is “good” but it’s not quite my jam - some really fun percussion throughout - some King Crimson vibes, especially on Wild is the Wind

:( - title track sucks - some more interesting stuff in the middle of the album - TONS of boring guitar/vocals back and forth. The riffs nor the vocals are good enough to make this structure interesting - Walk All Over You and Touch Too Much are probably the highlights - cannot believe the audacity to have a 6-minute song in here Not unlistenable, but I doubt I’ll ever play it front to back again
