1001 Albums Summary

It is a pleasant enough album. And I'm sure it was doing something unique for it's time, but it is just an era of rock music from the late 80s that does nothing for me. Most of the singing sounds like backup singing. The only track I genuinely thought was good was Fools Gold at the end.

I can see how he made the impact he did, but it’s just not for me. It’s an awkward mix made by a bit of a dork who doesn’t know if he wants to sound like a gangbanger, or near-gangbanger, or an underground Doom type or the new Kanye. It’s just very muddled. I’m also not a fan of Kendrick’s voice in general. That’s just personal taste. But he clearly is very talented and I enjoyed a lot of the instrumentals
