a solid short little album, finally hearing the whole album makes me realize why it had such an impact during its time, beautiful lyrics and instrumentals, almost like a movie in my head.
still blows my mind that for an album where i dont understand a single word, it can still move me to the verge of tears all the way back to the top of the mountain. all of the noise just disappearing from my head when listening, really made me focus on the incredible soundscape and the emotions the singers are portraying. an incredible journey, to say the least.
kind of a nothing burger, not really my genre either, had some fun moments but not an album that i would mind if i missed it.
opening moments hooked me in, but during the latter half of the album kind of disappointed me(?). don't know what i was expecting for the rest of the album from the opening, but it surely wasn't this
beautiful collection of ballads
decided not to listen. genre is right up my alley, but i don't wanna support this creep.
have to be honest, kinda skimmed over this one, not really the sound for me. groovy basslines, some songs repeat themselves, sometimes the guitar gets a little messy, not something i'd listen to again.
oli itelle vähä mitään sanomaton albumi, ei ollu hyvä mut ei huonokaa.
lembibiisit oli:
-can you forgive her
-a different point of view
-one and one make five
-go west (oli ehkä ainoo biisi minkä levyltä oon aikasemmi kuullu)
vaikka oliki suurimmaks osaks yamaha keyboardin ääniefektiläiskytystä nii ei meinaa etten ois saanu muutamasta biisistä hyvän fiiliksen :)
-tave
liking the swing, feeling like im driving down the coastline in my 1970 plymouth fury. liking how during the midway feels to slow down, but the vibes stay uninterrupted, smooth flow from song to song. not really my taste, but still not bad :)
enjoyed more than i thought i would
a pleasant surprise for the day, neil's vocal range still impresses, last time i heard a song of his was Rockin' in the Free World, where he goes way lower. Almost fell asleep, some might see it as a bad sign, when I mean it as the biggest compliment, such a mellow tracklist.
at first i almost wanted to stop listening because of the "wailing" style of vocals, but after giving it a chance and listening to 2-3 songs, i found a pleasant listening experience. nothing special, but i still had a good time.
never really was a fan of vocal storytelling, good for background ambience. not a bad album, good tracks here and there, but it's not for me.
