1001 Albums Summary

Feels like half of the album is missing: it's not that it's bad, it's just a bit more forgettable than the first half of the album, it feels like it gets somehow repetitive. Overall the album in itself is not bad, it's definitely more of a background though, an enjoyable one, but still a background. Don't get me wrong, I like The Black Keys and they have many songs that I would recommend to others: this album unfortunately is not one of them, besides a couple of songs.

I was stuck on the "this is not my genre", so I had to listen to it twice. And I gotta say it, it deserves to be on the list. Not sure about the rating, I may come back and adjust it later: but, based on the fact that I saved the majority of the songs to my playlist, I'll go with a 4/5.

Solid 3 stars, enjoyable.

Album carried by the title track: the other songs are enjoyable but anonymous, the AC/DC's "you listen to one song and you listened to them all". Deserves more than 2 but definitely not 3 stars.

masterpiece

Definitely more deep than it seems, will be more thoroughly revisited. Didn't listen to the whole album, it's definitely something different from what I'm listening to in this period, and switching between such different genres makes it hard to fully appreciate one or the other. As said, will be definitely be revisisted.

Gotta go with a 3 and a promise to myself that I'll revisit it.

I always thought this album and its songs were highly overrated, I could not understand why Dreams has a decillion listens and why this album is considered so divine as every review describes it. Recently, I gave it a shot and really sat through listening to it. And still, I partially can't understand, but at least I added a 5 stars album to my collection.
