Review: This felt like a lighthearted reimagining of the American folk genre filled with heavenly harmonics and airy melodies. The only ding is the songs are so similar that there's no obvious best choice, yet it doesn't become too repetitive.

Review: I grew up on Steely Dan, so these songs were played frequently over the years. This album is quintessential yacht rock with the well-produced marriage between its slick jazz beats and classic rock sound. Although I wouldn't choose to listen to this entire album on repeat due to its slower pacing, Deacon Blues, Peg, and Josie will remain favorites of mine with a newfound love of Black Cow.

Review: I'm all for progressive and indie music, but there was very little concrete enough for me to grab onto and enjoy. And some tracks just felt abrasive to my ears, but maybe that's the point.

Review: This is the first time I've listened to a Stones album all the way through. Of course they're a phenomenal band that has become synonymous with the idea of Rock 'n' Roll itself, but they're right on the periphery of my taste in rock. I've never heard any of these songs until today, and most sounded like filler to the point where after five songs in, the music all blended together. I liked the blend, but nothing stuck out as exceptional like I would expect from this band.

Review: Another cool experimental album, but this time the highs were not so high and the lows were lower than I hoped, which didn't leave much room for the neutral space in between. Overall, there's some funky and fun sounds, but again, very repetitive making it difficult to want to listen this over and over.

Review: U2 nails the Rock sound as it evolves in the 1980s with this album. You can hear the frustration of their lyrics reflected in the timbre of their guitars. That being said, there's still some dull stretches where the music all blends together.

Review: I've only listened to a handful of rap and hip-hop songs throughout my life, so in my highly uninformed opinion of the genre, this was a very solid album. I felt it elegantly conveyed the struggles of those in marginalized communities and bridged a gap to make those struggles feel relatable and shared so people from all walks of life can feel empowered through music to command their own destinies.

Review: The only Kate Bush song I've heard before this album was Running Up That Hill (from Stranger Things of course). The rest of the tracks were decent and I've added up a couple to my playlists, but not much to write home with. I liked the dreamy and experimental pop on the back half, but I didn't connect with it as much as I would've liked to.

Review: I wanted to like this album more than I actually did. The songs were decent and I'm a sucker for synths, but this is the first time I felt that I disagreed with the track order. Rio felt out of place at the top. I would've placed Rio deeper in the album as a reward for listening through. And most of the other tracks just blended together without sticking out as much as I would've wanted with the only exception being The Chaffeur, which I felt served its job as the cap of the album.

Review: This will be my first album to reach 5 stars. I just listened to this three times in a row. I couldn't stop. I've heard some Black Sabbath in my time and I just figured I wasn't a heavy metal head. But I now realize that listening to the whole album is the format in which it's supposed to be enjoyed. The harsh dissonant riffs, the rich bass, the enchanting drums, Ozzy's voice... it's all composed and mixed so perfectly together. Now onto listen number four.

Review: This album felt entirely inconsequential. I am the same person I was before listening to it as I am after, and I could've gone the rest of my life without ever needing to. The tracks were all just generic 90s pop that hold little merit to be on the "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" list. Nothing sounds outright awful, I just think its accolades are undeserved.

Review: This starts off as a pretty good jazz album. Then Maseru hits. And you see a romanticized montage of all the successes you're going to encounter in your life like the epilogue scene from La La Land. There's a brief lull halfway through, but before you can catch your breath, the tempo picks back up and boom immediate reprise. Besides that, the other tracks were intriguing and unique enough to hold their own, so I'll be returning back to this album frequently.
