It’s nice
Yeah it’s the Beatles again
Some misses on this one but the highs are so high
Guitar gently weeps is a masterpiece
The run from track 7-11 is insane
I love I’m so tired I think about it every time I can’t sleep literally
Bouncy bass line. Why is this called “electronic”. More like top worst 1001 albums oat lol. I like in one love when it turns Chinese.
Just like how weed affects people differently turning some relaxed and open-minded and free and happy it turns other people anxious with their heart racing and fearful. What’s gonna happen next. This album I’m sure affected a lot of people in the first way however for me it just wasn’t complicated enough. This album is for slow brain people.
Fun awesome. Dare I say I like it.. Synth triffs. I loved this. Very fun and happy. The last last three songs were songs I will actually listen to. I love how many layers of sound there are and yet I still feel afloat atop the waves of music. Metaphor.
I was listening to a song in a fire engine drove by and it made the song 10 times more interesting. I feel like the production smeared everything together a little too much without intention especially on heads will roll. Some may call this a “compressed” sound. If you say this, you are eric. Go listen to their first album “fever to tell”. I think the reason they use a compressed mix approach is cuz their garage rock background. Karen’s voice stands out for the band (and the mix) in everysong. Soft shock carries the album.
Eric Clapton???? Why did he have to come for bro like that. During the interlude she says “prepare for 2 hours of ad free music” are you dumb? Album is an hour bud. Break you off sounds great, it’s a shame it’s about a guy trying to get a woman to cheat on her boyfriend. For me, that makes the song worse. Raping eric imminently.
First take I was like this is certified booty cheeks. But then I had the blessing of enough time in my day to listen again twice more. It got better. Guitar riffs carried songs by themselves. I like what the band represents in diy punk music all that. But I can’t say it’s good just cuz it’s different.
I texted someone that the album reminded me of MGMT by about song 3. Crazy turns out that dave fridmann produced this album and MGMT and tame impala and Pinkerton. this shit smacks. I love the theatrical progression and use of synths with guitars. Vocals are weak and emotional but go great on everything. Love love love. This smacks
I remember my first time playing an instrument. Just because it tells a story, doesn't mean it's a good one. This album is intricate, noisy, emotional, avant-garde, unique, anything but good.
Track I: it is fine. there is a repeating set of notes that seems to be the theme here. I think the message is this unbounded love, or "love supreme", surrounding this repeating harmony. As the song goes on the harmony gets increasingly intricate and John on the saxophone takes extra turns and twists around the main points to show the intense passion he has for this supreme love". Finishing with a droning vocal of him saying the name of the project for some reason.
Track II: It starts off all right with some notion of a theme that the saxophone keeps returning to; that high note and the walk down. Once the spotlight is handed to the piano, things start to break down. McCoy Tyner on the keys dances around the rhythm skillfully, then seems to just lose all sense of music. He begins spamming dissonant chords which, have their place, but not here. The "discussion" between the sax and piano results in the sax coming back in and attempting to regain control of the situation unsuccessfully. The redeeming feature of this track is how the drums and standing bass were able to maintain any rhythm. The intensity of emotion can be seen through the "voice crack" sound of the high notes from the sax. Almost an uncontrollable passion. This track successfully told a story, but it didn't sound good.
Track III: Begins with the first technically impressive portion in my eyes, the drum solo. However, this is the least emotional part of the album thus far. The rest of the song is a more enjoyable harmony between the keys and sax. The music deconstructs itself towards the end, like it already has so many times, as the drums bring us out. This leads into a 2.5 minute "bass solo" which is just a kid exploring different notes that he can play on a standing bass. The only reason this portion isn't a complete waste of time is because it gives me a break from the noise I've been put through the last 20 minutes.
Track IV: Alright a solid conclusion with structure, layers, and everyone playing their instruments properly. The drums carry here.
I listened to this album probably 9 times front to back and begged my friends to explain to me why they love it so much. The sounds here are unique and can tell a story, but the only emotion it evokes from me is annoyed and bored.
Not picnic basket. Picnic casket 😭. bunky boppy fun Beats by Dre I think. didn't really get to sink my teeth into this like the past albums. Hating on Coltrane took a lot out of me because he is so good. This was good front to back, and cohesive, which is at least a three. cant go above that because at four I have the white album and this is not as good as the white album. or is it?
If only they werent British 😪
Like the cranberries but no good riffs and replace the good woman singer with the mid dude singer.
Other than the guitar, this album could’ve been made with a redstone circuit
Yep. This is the one.
How is this their debut album. Only complaint is it sounds like music from the Minecraft movie. Cannot get jason mamoa and jack black out of my head. I think that’s the vocals but damn can these guys play guitar. Talmbout “one for the ladies” 🤣 I’m dead ts.
Very self righteous sounding guy. Not a fan. Won’t listen again.
Holy sh!t I can hardly make it through the first song. This dude sUCKS his voice sounds like the Elvis cover of the Rick and Morty theme song.
Rape. Murder. Just a shot away.
It’s fine. Maybe I have bad AirPods and speaker and car speakers and phone speakers but the vocals were hard to hear in every song.
lil Wayne has never sounded better
Enjoyable. Didn’t know the colts running back made music. He has a good voice but I didn’t read the lyrics. Probably makes it worse. Good sound.
Please do NOT have this playing when the girls get here.
Reminds me of mip from smiling friends and all the fantasy games and u get it. If u like this ur lying
It was good I just didn’t like it
You want lobster? Hah I was thinking Burger King. Dopeman beat goes hard. I like this a lot. Watched the movie but it was too long I fell asleep.
I just think it’s ironic that they r so misogynistic and homophobic
