Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy

If this had just been the album 'Jailbreak' I'd have given four stars. I don't understand the mindset that thinks this bloated, less dynamic, live record deserves a spot over their definitive landmark record. In acknowledgement of my hypocrisy, if 'Yessongs'(A Triple-live record) were on this list, I'd give it five stars. Prog to me is more suited to being bloated and imposing, whereas hard rock is better taken in servings that are small enough to leave you looking forward to the next listen. At least by playing harmonica on "Baby Drives Me Crazy" the overlooked Huey Lewis got onto the list.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs

In a list that omits Warren Zevon, Lord Huron, Dawes, The Shins, Snow Patrol, Modest Mouse, Grandaddy, Damien Rice, Midlake and a host of others(not all in the same vein as The War On Drugs, I'm just venting a bit) I hear nothing this album contributes that others didn't do better. I'm not going to hold the shortcomings of this list against this album, but this album did little to either endear or offend, which is what gets a down-the-middle three stars from me.
