My first Hendrix album actually listened to start to finish. I really liked it. I love the hippyish “yeah, baby” add ins and stuff. I think Jimi can play guitar a little.
Such a great album. I saw it in the theater! I would say Purple Rain is definitely a masterpiece, but this is pretty darn good.
It is funny this came right after Jimi Hendrix. Both guys are masterful musicians, but I do think Prince plays a lot of other instruments as well as all the writing and producing.
My second Hendrix album. I listened using my earbuds. Obvi Jimi’s so great and I love his experimentation. I was also taken with his band on this album. It looks like this album was put out within 7 months of Axis: Bold As Love. That’s insane.
I listened to this and Axis: Bold As Love in Apple Music and really enjoyed the “making of” at the end. Really interesting and they make you appreciate Jimi’s skills.
I don’t think I would’ve listened to this album had it not been for this project. I enjoyed it. I thought the album would be poppier, but it’s got an edge that I liked. The cover of Iron Man is hysterical.
Sleep To Dream, Criminal and Shadowboxer are such great songs. This is a really good album. I’m surprised Fiona didn’t have wider success.
This might be my first Sabbath album. I’m sorry I was so late to the party. I liked it. It’s weird how different “heavy metal” albums come across to me now.
I’m only 2 minutes in, but it’s amazing how much this sounds like the Beach Boys.
Overall I was disappointed in this album. I like the Zombies, but this just didn’t really do it for me.
I really like Beck. I should listen to him more. A lot of people are doing it now, but his musical approach was fun and unique at the time. And he has fun lyrics. This is a great album. Many of the songs got radio play.
I think this was the first Marilyn Manson album I’ve ever listened to. You can definitely hear some production by Trent. I did enjoy it. I know Brian Warner is a bad guy. It’s always difficult to separate the art from the human.
I’ve never listened to a Pink Floyd album start to finish. I don’t own Dark Side Of The Moon. Yet I’ve seen them twice.
This album might be a bit too trippy for my taste. It was fine. I’m sure it was groundbreaking, but hard to say since it was 1967.
I had never listened to this album. I liked it a lot. Not as polished as Goo, but I enjoyed it.
Sonic Youth and the Pixies are both Seminole bands. I think I prefer the Pixies, but I do like listening to Sonic Youth.
Sure I’ve heard the millions of singles, but I’ve never listened to a full album. I think I’d like Rumors a lot. I liked this one, but I didn’t love it.
I liked Not That Funny and Sisters Of The Moon.
This was a great comeback album for The Man In Black. A lot of fun covers. It seems like his voice is really forefront on this production.
I cringed when I got this assignment. I change the channel every time Jethro Tull is played.
This wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Stand out tracks are Mother Goose and Up To Me.
I was surprised how much this album sounded like Chris Isaak. Overall it was fine.
I didn’t know what I was getting into here. The album was fine. Some songs I did enjoy. I don’t know if I like his voice. I noticed Apple Music gave him song credit for Say Hello, Wave Goodbye.
You Are The Sunshine Of My Life and Superstitious are so so good. The rest of the album is good. But just based on those songs I’m giving this a 4-star.
Okay, fine. This was a pretty solid album. I’d def think it would’ve been a fun show to go to back in their day. I did like that the keyboards sounded kinda spacey and their logo is the spaceship.
I’m always impressed with rappers. There’s so many words! I wish I could give this a 3.5. I guess I’ll give it a 4. It’s pretty good.
I like Eminem, but I do think this album’s a little juvenile.
This is excellent. Great music. Good lyrics. No misogyny or tons of swearing. Just straight up fight the power.
I wanna give it a 5, but I just can’t. It’s so so good though.
