This has always been one of my favorites. It was great listening to it again. Classic after classic
Over the top rock awesomeness! No letting up on this one
I know it's a classic, but it's kind of boring for me. It does have one of my top 10 all-time favorite songs though (the song Graceland). I appreciate the album for what it is, but I would never intentionally sit down and just listen to the entire album.
I "liked" it, but it's very repetitive. I got the point after 10 minutes. Good background music with headphones I suppose. Clint Eastwood is a good song though. Clearly the standout.
The music is very boring and the lyrics sound like they were written by a 12-year-old. There's nothing interesting about this.
It was all right. I thought I would end up liking it a lot more after the first two songs, but in reality, all you really needed to do was listen to the first two songs. It's all pretty much the same, it had some interesting parts but overall just kind of boring
Definitely not my usual style of music, but I surprisingly enjoyed this. I like a lot of others that I've reviewed lately, this was interesting. It had energy, something to say, passion.
Similar to early '70s, Pink Floyd, but much less creative or enjoyable. Not much here really. Debated between one and two stars, probably would have given it one and a half if I had the chance.
This one was hard to rate for me. First, I thought I was going to give it a three or a four but I had all weekend to think on it. I decided to rate it much lower. At first wall I was listening, I was struck by the message that people need to take responsibility for themselves and not blame the ills of society on musicians. While that might be the case in part, I also feel the majority of this album is shock for the sake of shock. I do realize that this is probably the point in driving home his message, but it was a bit much. There are some absolute classic songs on this album though. Definitely the hardest review that I've had so far.
My first 5 Star review. What a fantastic album from start to finish!
I really enjoy this album. There are two or three songs that are clearly products of the '80s. Otherwise this would be a five star
Thoroughly enjoyed this album. How to country music go so far of the rails?
It was fun, but obviously very outdated and saccharine lyrics! In the context of when it was made, I get it from a music standpoint. Super simple, bunch of 12 bar blues. Not really my thing, but I can appreciate the history.
Solid overall. The first half of the album was better than the second. If they kept the quality of the first half, I probably would have rated it's a 4
It's a decent album, but very overrated. A couple of standout songs. The production value is absolutely trash though. Not sure I agree with that correction
There were a couple good songs in here. A lot of it seemed like filler to me and not too interesting.
This reminds me of music that you'd hear in the lobby of a hotel that's trying to be trendy. Because this album wasn't available on Spotify, I had to listen to it on YouTube. Funnily enough, when ads came on I could not distinguish between the music and the ads and the music of the album! Very boring
What a boring album. Not much good to say about it, except the bass playing and the guitar playing were good. The song themselves are awful
I've never heard of this artist nor this album until it came up on my list. It is really good. A good blend of rock, jazz, and other genres. I'm only giving it four at this point because I haven't been able to really listen more in depth. I am willing to bet that after repeated listenings this will wind up being a five.
I've never heard of this album nor this band. I really enjoyed it. I hear a lot of kinks influence which is probably why I latched onto it
I love Neil Young which is probably why this is going to get a four instead of a three. Critical listening tells me that the first half of this album is much stronger than the second half. If the second half stood up to the same standards as the first, this would be an easy five. Neil has better albums than this, but nostalgia and bias pushed me to a four
I haven't listened to this one in a long time until now. Some really solid songs, but a lot of boring as well. Probably rank it closer to a three and a half
I like the structure of this album. It completely changed halfway through and do an acoustic softer mood. Loved every song
The first song on this album is exceptional. I thought to myself that this was going to be a surprising four star. Unfortunately, there's a lot of material that I just didn't care for. The stones cover was pretty awful. Overall a fun lesson then. I'm glad I got to hear.
I haven't listened to this one all the way through in a long time. I remember how much I enjoy it. It was kind of different listening to it in the car though, as opposed to via headphones while lying down like I normally used to. Beautiful music
Okish. Sinatra has a lot better songs out there. This didn't really do it for me
Solid album with some classics on it. It's hard for me to listen to an entire album of this kind of music though. I don't really see myself ever just sitting down to do that.
This is a fantastic album.
If this double album was half as long, it would easily be a five. I honestly was struggling to give it a four, if half stars were allowed, this would be a solid, three and a half. It's unfortunate that there's so much filler on this.
I haven't listened to these songs since it first came out. I really enjoy the idea of this album, and I'm a fan of Metallica, but I would much rather listen to the original songs and these. I would imagine being there in person would have been a five out of five experience though
