Musically, it was great. But not a memorable album.
Great soul/R&B album. Not a lot of variety but it does what it does really well.
This was a fun listen. Like being in a jazz club.
If you likw grunge its a near perfect album. Turns out I like Soundgarden less than I thought (Aside from a couple amazing songs on thje album).
Enjoyable Yes album. Some songs are way too long. Two versions of 'I've Seen All the Good People Your Move' is excessive. Too much filler.
A good ska album. Not very memorable but it had some good jams
The intro music to Paul Simon's Graceland. What more can I say? African music that is funky, approachable, and full of soul.
Not Coldplay's best, but I do love me some Coldplay.
Too much warbling, not enough substance. This album did nothing for me.
Track 1 & 2: Ok this isn't for me.
Track 3: Ok, there's something here.
Maybe not an album I love, or something I'd listen to again, but enjoyable if unmemorable. Like Oasis but without the magic.
Free Bird, Simple Man, Tuesday's Gone. An album full of classics and one of the all-time debut records.
Great album with great songs. It would be better if it wasn't all covers.
Definitely weird and not exactly to my tastes. Some songs grabbed me, like 'I'm So Proud'. But there was not much here for me to grab on to.
Not my jam. Mostly noise, and weirdly experimental. There's a 17 minute song about a blowjob with the lyrics "You're busy sucking on my ding-dong. You busy sucking on my ding-dong." For fucks sakes.
Post-punk pop vibes. Not bad, not great.
A little sad. Overall good but a bit to downbeat and melancholy. The track Lost Cause was a standout.
It's Pet Sounds. An absolute banger album. That's Not Me is a standout on an album of great music. It changed the game at the time and still holds up.
One of the greatest from one of the greatest. Poetry to music.
Fun and upbeat. It would be good for a backyard bbq or outdoor chill.
A little slow, but great for background.
A great collection of samples but not something I would listen to again. It was kind of boring to be honest.
At times, bizarre, disjointed, and rough. Still it was weirdly enjoyable at times and always interesting. It felt more "garage" than say, Nirvana but the theme remains the same.
This was a fun album that acts as a perfect time capsule into late 90's/early 2000s R&B hip hop. It might not be the best example of the genre but it brought me back in a wave of nostalgia.
Not a lot here for me. Background electronic music. Blase
A consistently enjoyable album, but it's almost too safe. A great first effort but it lacks the depth, power, and experimentation of their later stuff.
If you like 90s UK techno, then you must love this album. I do not. It wasn't bad, but it's not my kind of album. It's dirty, it's grungy(good), but it's also repetitive and every song is 1-2 minutes longer than it needs to be.
Great live album, even if the sound quality isn't the best.
It's stunning, soulful , and beautiful in every way. Her voice is incomparable, the production is perfect and the album is a complete work of artistry. Listening to it now in hindsight gives the album a whole new and tragic patina. It made me mournful for what could of been, but incredibly grateful for what was.
An interesting look at one of the first "rock operas". It's an interesting album that tells a complete story, but unfortunately it pales in almost every way to Tommy.
This was a fun album. Beautiful, pop inspired, a little jazzy.
One of the best albums ever. MJ is a pedophile though.
Good album to half listen to. Late era Elvis, nothing revolutionary here.
It's an album. Apparently I listened to most of it but I'm not really sure when that took place. Nothing stood out and I wouldn't go back to it.
Another album that just wasn't my style. At times I hated it, at times I was intrigued. A few times it pulled out of the heavy industrial sound to give me something I enjoyed immensely.
Weird, sad noise. It had some fun parts, but overall, it was very mediocre. The sound quality was fine at best, but the whole album was extremely underwhelming.
A sad and moving final album
A punk album that isn't really punk. It has the sound but not the anger. Although it isn't a bad album it doesnt give me what I need from a "punk" album. I could see these songs being used in a commercial to great effect.
Sad 90s music. An indie band, but not one I would listen to. I can see the appeal but there are many, many bands that do the same thing better.
The Flaming Lips are a lot less intense than I thought. There were some slow parts, but overall it was an upbeat, tight, and thoroughly engaging album. I would definitely listen to it again. Race for the Prize, A Spoonful Weighs a Ton, and Buggin were particular standouts
An album that remains just as good as the first time I heard it. Obviously the guitar is the star of the show but Jimi Hendrix's unique vocals put this album in another stratosphere.
Experimental jazz is experimental jazz. A collection of 20+ minute songs that weren't particularly enjoyable to listen to.
This album was funky and fun. A good mix of soul, jazz, funk, with some didgeridoo thrown in for good measure. You can definitely hear the Stevie Wonder influence throughout everything. Maybe not the most original or inventive but enjoyable nonetheless.
I do love Neil Young, but this isn't him at his best. It's still Neil Young, and it's still better than most, but this is an album best listened to in the background of a dark and dingy dive bar.
Sad folk. For an artist and album I have never heard of before I really enjoyed this one. It reminded me a little of Rufus Wainwright.
Great album with great production. An obvious departure from her first album, with a lot more going on, but it works, and it works well.
It's kind of weird, not totally my style and a little boring at parts. There's no doubt that it is an interesting and musically adept album. Although I did really enjoy the tracks with vocals/lyrics like "I'll Come Running", (unfortunately there were only 5 out of the 14) the instrumental tracks didn't quite work for me and didn't hold my interest.
