First off, I love the cover! Okay so overall, while there are some really good instrumentals on this album (e.g., guitar in vampire blues for example), overall this album is incredibly slow and not one i would have on repeat. There's definitely something formulaic about the album and it's very country rock/bluesy rock which is not my cup of tea. Also lyrically, some songs are a bit... what? I would give this a 3 star as it didn't irritate me as much and does make for some good background chill listening. It's a vibe.

Ah Stranger Things feelings here I come. Running Up That Hill is mind-bendingly phenomenal and I don't know if it's because of Kate Bush's artistry or the association I have with Stranger Things, but still the song is 10/10. I love how chaotic this album feels. Like it goes from synth pop to whatever on earth was 'Waking the Witch' (the absolute not terror but discomfort that song made me feel... yikes) to the folk/trad instrumentals of "Jig of Life" (second favourite off the album). Kate's vocal range/tone is also incredible. This whole album was incredible.

nostalgic wishing for better days and hazy sunny days. My memories of this album are strong.. discovering bad words and slurs with friends and giggling about it, or screaming bolevard of broken dreams with my mom on the way to school. Hell wven the one sided beef I developed with When September Ends... this is quintessentially my childhood and early adolescense.
