Would have been improved by surprise hip-hop collaborators

That was actually some pretty good country! Never tops the opening track though

Jangly guitars, reverb, and nasal singing are a combo that I don't particularly enjoy to be honest. I found myself enjoying the ballads a lot more just because the rest of the band calmed down a bit for them. I Remember California is an unexpected highlight, I love that kind of sinister shit. Orange Crush still a banger too. I think R.E.M are one of those bands where I'm happy to stick to the singles.

It is the 90s and I am wearing flannel. People are arguing about what is ironic on dial up internet. The Simpsons is still good. It is a simpler time and I am happy. (In real life I am five years old at this point and the 90s also sucked shut up a girl can dream)

Somehow never got round to trying LCDS before. Not a huge fan of the dance rock style generally, but I can see they're good at it. Most of the songs should have been half as long to be honest, and the piano on All My Friends actively gave me a headache. North American Scum was my top track, I think. Overall a fine enough album, but I won't be putting it on again.

Very good at what it does, but what it does isn't for me

Surprisingly varied and fun, but too long. Cut the weakest third and you'd have a real solid album.

Now this is the good shit. Varied, weird, enjoyed every track. Can hear the influence on several artists I enjoy now. Weird cover though!

I am so not the audience for this one but I can absolutely see the talent there. My main issue with this style of rap is that the backing tracks are rarely interesting. Will probably have another listen at some point.
