Good thing we’re rating the album and not the guy. The seamless transitions are pretty great. Can’t imagine seeing this live.
Took me through a whole range of emotions. May not be my whole cup of tea but I surely felt that it was his! Well played, John. Well played.
It’s the epitome of the 80’s hair bands. What’s not to like? David Lee Roth at the helm and Eddie Van Halen with some sick guitar solos. You can feel the drugs through the music. I mean the energy. You can feel the energy!
This was one of those that you know but you didn’t know you knew. Weird. Good though. Like pimento cheese. I’d eat it.
Shaky opening kissing a teacher, but you know what, maybe there was something in the air that night. Hell yeah! Love ABBA!
Something about this album instantly calms my nervous system. I can take a breath and just let the music wash over me.
Some strange and unusual. Some like a ghost of an old friend. I may not purchase the vinyl but I can appreciate the art.
Well this took me back and now I’m Skylarking all over again! Dear God, it’s fantastic!
Classic and relevant. Full stop.
Very early 2000s coded. Kinda hit me like a movie soundtrack. Perhaps like That Thing You Do. Give it up for the Oneders (pronounced the Wonders) in a good way!
I wasn’t able to find the album. Just one song. Based off of other songs I listened to by this artist I will provide a rating.
Ad Rock come and rock the sure shot!
Fresh like Dougie when I get my specs and on the microphone I come correct
Timing on the clock when I rock the hip hop
Top notch is my stock on the soapbox!
10/10
Come on, it’s Billy Joel!!
Such a great album! The only thing that could have been better is if it were the MTV unplugged. Really a 4.5. Thank you, Kurt. 💙
In that moment in time that album was fire, I’m sure.
Great, but a little intense.
It was alright. Liberty for Our Friend is a great song!
Hell yeah, Frank Ocean! “thick girls were made for cuddlin!”
This was a monumental album in the evolution of hip hop. I have purchased it many times and put many people onto it.
Willie is one of the greats, in my opinion. Great singer songwriter. Melodies are lovely. Perfect for the time.
It’s good. Very good. I like the harmonies and it’s a solid album and sound for the era. I think they were popular because they were cute. They have better works.
Great album. Great genre. Not for everyone so not sure how it made this list.
Moody and odd. Very 90s. Hit me on the perfect day.
Okay. A lot for first thing in the morning.
Good. Not overly produced, but not my favorite of UB40.
Great combination of rock annd roll and blues. Fun album.
Listening to this album as the sun rises over the hills made my morning perfect. Sometimes you need Lana.
Interesting. Some songs gave me Manu Chao vibes.
Jimi was a talented musician. Even if you didn’t vibe with his music you have to appreciate his craft.
Good on Sharon for her support of Ozzy and his shenanigans. R.I.P. to the Prince of Darkness.
I had two Black Sabbath Albums in a row. This should have been the one!
My favorite thing about The Mamas and the Papas is when Mama Michelle ate a banana on the talk show because she was mad about having to lip sync.
Hell yeah! The beginnings!
No notes 10/10 Jack White is brilliant.
It’s a good album. Not the best of them.
I’m convinced there is something for everyone on this album.
Such a great album and artist. Not my favorite by him but heroes always makes me cry.
I love the revival of this album because of current television and culture. She’s so good!
Monumental album for rap and hip hop. Don’t believe the hype!
All the classics and the perfect day for them!
Not my favorite of theirs but live Radiohead!
It was alright. Don’t stand out for any reason.
I have never heard this befor today. This is dope. Different. I didn’t know what to expect from song to song. A must listen for music connoisseurs.
Such a great album. Head over heels for this record.
So great! The Smiths always hit.
This was such an influential album and group in hip hop history. Yo, what the fuck are they yellin?!
Q-Tip is a good one. Several certified bangers on this album. And if you’re on Spotify, let it play on after the album is done and it’ll take you on a journey.
It’s not often that I come across an album that I’ve never heard of before. This was one of those. Interesting. Chill.
Bowie is art, but this isn’t my favorite of his.
Classic. Calm. If you like Nirvana you should be able to appreciate Neil.
The Isley Brothers are so smooth. Maybe not my favorite representation of their work, but still great.
Beautiful voice. Beautiful album. Classic.
Solid album all the way through.
One of the greatest singer songwriters of all time.
I love all Tupac but All Eyez On Me would have been my preferred album.
Good but not my favorite of theirs
Very cool that it was recorded at San Quentin. Johnny Cash is true Americana
Such a great singer songwriter and her voice weis like glass. Joni Mitchell never lied.
Pretty good. There were one or two familiar bangers in there but I wouldn’t revisit the entire album
Timeless and for the generations.
Miles Davis is greatly talented but I don’t like jazz that sounds like one long jam session
This is OG metal! 🤘🏼Start to finish, it’s a solid album. British 80s metal hits different.
Leonard Cohen is great and this is a great album!
Good album. This was a nice mix of beats and had an interesting flow. Would recommend.
So…I don’t hate it. Human Behaviour reminded me of that song Alaska by Maggie Rogers.
Good. Classic. I was tempted.
Fantastic album from start to finish. My 11 year old also enjoyed. He plays trombone.
It’s always been a great album.
Stupendous! And the collabs are fire!
Abso fucking lutely genius!
U2 is great. Everyone knows that.
Now we’re talkin. I have listened to M.I.A. But haven’t heard anything from this album. 🙌🏼
A very strange singer songwriter experience. I’m not mad at it.
Interesting. I don’t think I would’ve found this on my own.
I like the Kinks. This album sounds of the time.
They have quite a unique sound. Knee who it was immediately though it wasn’t one of their most popular songs.
Love Roxy Music. This album has a variety and every once in a while I get just what I needed for the moment.
Such a good vibe from front to back.
Beastie Boys are gonna hit 10/10 times!
That was a great mix. This is the kind of bluesy jazz I’m into. Nice brass.
So nostalgic to hear this album again. It makes me want to go to their show.
Great album. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it all the way through. Brilliant.
Fantastic! Upbeat and fun!
You know, it was Adam Ant…
Very nostalgic and dated. Like you’d expect to hear in the background of a John Hughes movie.
Nice album cover. The album was ok.
Definitely not my kind of vibe but I can appreciate the energy behind it.
I enjoy this album more than I thought I would at the beginning. A lot of energy. I could imagine listening to this in a smoky underground club.
Some people say they are zeppelin people. Some say they’re stones people. I am both.
I felt like I wasn’t on enough drugs to be sitting in his den jamming with him. Just my take. I respect it.
Well that was interesting
Public Wnemy and NWA were absolutely instrumental to the evolution of hip hop
So good. Lenny will always be a vibe. He’s done better work than this though.
I love everything about this album.
Meh. Admittedly, I am not a big metal fan, but I can appreciate it. This just wasn’t my favorite of the genre.
This is a good album that starts strong with one of my favorite songs.
I don’t know how I knew these songs. I suppose this album is full of nostalgia and musical memorabilia.
There were a few songs that didn’t hit right while others were kinda smooth.
Well, that was something.
Steely Dan is exactly what I remember Steely Dan to be. I forgot about Josie.
Ughhhh! Prince is the first record I remember listening to without my parents, and I will never forget seeing him perform Little Red Corvette on acoustic guitar in 2004 on his Musicology Tour. 😍
This was interesting. Kind of nostalgic in a Cure kind of way. For some songs, at least.
My favorite punk pop girlies! Great album. No notes.
Fantastic album and belongs on this list, IMO.
Cannot WAIT to see this brilliant woman in concert.
So, I like the Cardigans and their lyrics. However, there are some songs that I wish were sung in another genre or style. Like Been It. It could’ve gone the Portishead route but as is kinda reminds me of Sheryl Crow.
Great album and artist. Been listening to this album since I was in high school.
Joni is a legend. She’s not my favorite artist. It’s not my favorite album. But she is arguably one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time.
Good album. Not my favorite.
I’m gonna be honest. I was not familiar with Thundercat and I judged hard when I heard the very first track. However, believe me when I say that this record is full of bangers! Adding to my library.
Classic stuff. Good for the era.
Feels out of place on this list
Interesting. I can’t say that I’ve heard of them before this.
I like this. Also, the album cover makes me wish that there were more record stores in the world.
Not my favorite. Very strange.
Not my favorite of Iggy Pops work but while listening i wondered if Arctic Monkeys Do I Wanna Know? was inspired or influenced by Nightclubbing…
Reminds me of high school, smoking in my friend Barbara’s attic bedroom. Her older brother was so cute.
So good and found a new favorite song.
Unexpected. I enjoy Sylvia Plath.
