Really surprised how much I am enoying this. Based on their name alone I was not a fan. Evan Dando/Lemonheads vibes for sure. Also see how blur, oasis were likely influenced.

CLASSIC. the most "soundtrack" esk album to my early childhood.

THE ALBUM THAT STARTED MY JOURNEY INTO HIP-HOP. Also taught me what a pot leaf was (big picture of it on the cd).

BOB DYLANS TRUE MASTERPIECE

“Feeling’ Alright” transcends decades, and somehow feels relevant however many years later

shockingly good. would recommend. Not sure why it was so addictive, but it was.

underrated to say the least. A shockingly enjoyable listen reminiscent of Randy Newman at points, then tom waits at others.

is very much mid 90's radio music. "Honey" is ok because of how nostalgic it feels, but rest of album is forgettable.

This album represents my high school days way more accurately than I wish it did making it Surprisingly nostalgic.

So many early high school memories to this album. It defines an entire generation of mid 90’s kids who thought they were badass.

Ok ambient music. Hard to have in the foreground though, much more of a soundtrack/background vibe that I don’t mind playing but don’t pay a ton of attention to.

Perfect summer soundtrack….

Spooky mid 80’s punk. The album has a vibe to it that I was not expecting. Nice synths throughout, and yet never felt overdone.

Moments of cool and original, with at least 3 songs I would listen to anytime of the day. Overall though, probably not putting this on unless I want to hear one of the 3 songs that are worthy.

Some good songs, and quintessential White stripes “sounds”. A decent listen but rare I would throw it on.

Softer gently-er Morrissey. A little boring but a few tracks stand out like “the more you ignore me…”

Objectively, it is a good album. I struggle with the fact that so much of it has been overplayed. Front to back though a single listen through is worth it, but just once, then you are feeling like you cant take any more, at least for a few years.

Great samples, and good flow from start to finish. Really surprised how much this album worked on almost every track. A few moments felt dated but overall as good as anything coming out in 2026.

Michael Stipe is best showcased on this album. Solid encapsulation of late 80’s and more than one track is all time classic.

Strange background music. Enjoyable if you need something in the background with guests over who thrive with some weird shit on.

In terms of ambient music, this fits the bill, but is also a little more than that. Moments up upbeat brings this album back to the foreground in whatever I’m doing, and I enjoy it. Overall though, I rarely put it on, too many other albums edge this out.

Ok. Hard to like him now.
