1001 Albums Summary

Raw but dramatic, funny but dark. Listened to this when I was younger, but was really searching for 'bangers' and didn't really get it. Loved it.

Interesting A couple of GREAT tracks. Good overall but is it blasphemy to say it sounds like a bit of a "now let's do an Indian song, ooh, now a french sounding one. Ringo, fancy a go at country?" Looking into it, it's considered a classic and a pivot between a pop sound and experimental. Norwegian Wood. Amazing.

Turns out I love Bowie. This album is just a great listen. I love the theatricality of it all. His voice is wicked, loads of light and dark, sincerity and feeling and all to an operatic narrative. Yes please!

While the occasional song about love is fine, this isn't for me. Do I just not like crooners?

I fear I'm not clever enough for this.

Really good! You know who else is good? John Martyn! Haven't listened to Drake before really, though I've heard I should lots. Enjoyed it very much. Go listen to 'London Conversation' by John Martyn next.
