1001 Albums Summary

Jump and 1984 are classics. Very solid album all around though, liked pretty much all of them to a degree

Power of equality and if you have to ask sound catchy but don't grab me, not my type of music. Breaking the girl was right up my alley. Funky monks was typical rhcp. 3.5 stars if I could give it that, not my typical rotation but potentially a listen if I'm in the mood

Never have I heard an album that reminded me of my childhood more than this one, this is dad music if ever I heard it. Absolutely love it 5/5

Old school hip hop. Decent but as usual, not my type of music. Obviously very iconic and I recognize it is well made music

Good album. I consider this basically an extension of era frank Sinatra and just as good if not as iconic. Added to my list

Straight up did not like this album. I like Sinatra but all fo these songs were saccharine and cringy to listen to. Product of the times and they did not age well at all

Some of the songs are extremely repetitive and just not good. Tainted love brings a star and the rest of the album ranges from so-so to bad.

Not bad, but not really for me. Some are more southern rock, others are just straight up country and I hate those. Inoffensive but boomer coded

Just really boring, sorry. Forgot each song the moment it stopped playing. Honestly have no idea how it merits being on this list. Felt like it was on the path to greatness but feel quite short in the songwriting department.

Eh, probably closer to a 3 but just doesn't do it for me. Earlier female vocalists that she was inspired from did it better

The first few songs I thought were really good, 5 stars even. As the album goes on and the songs devolved more and more into samey angry screaming and repeating fuck over and over my score got lower and lower. Probably wouldn't relisten but it wasn't awful, just skip the last 5 songs or so

Don't know what the hate for this album in the other reviews is about, this is a certified bop.

For some reason I feel like this album has always been a part of me, must be the thousands of hours on early youtube with in the end and crawling played in the background of every video lmao

truthnuke incoming, but you shouldn't care whether an artist is likeable or not if they can sing well and write good music. CRAZY, I know. This is a 5, new wave kino. All the people ranking 1 or 2 are insane.

It's OK. There are way too many repeats of like 1 to 2 second clips for a minute+ straight which is just annoying in every other song

Really great album but hearing walk of life 50 thousand times in erectile dysfunction ads or whatever instilled in me a blinding hatred of that song so it's losing a star. An album go download and delete that song in particular

Unfortunately it's a live album so it maxes out at 4 but it's a great one

These lyrics are so juvenile it's hard to enjoy the rest of the song

Pretty good but for some reason actually listening to it through was tough

the 2 live songs were terribly close to bumping this one down. Not beating the Simon and Garfunkel literally just the beatles allegations. As a kid I thought they were the same and I still think they sound near identical, especially this album.

One of the greatest albums of all time. Also the fallout new Vegas song. I also generally don't like country so this one is outstanding

On first listen I was lukewarm, but I had a gut feeling this was an album that would take another full listen to get a real idea of how good it was, I am glad I did. This album is great, it just rocks with repetitive melodies that are done extremely well and it is simply fun to listen to.

Most 80s rap doesn't hold up, this is in the minority. This bangs

Just noise, and not the good kind

Surprisingly great

I'm more of an S&G guy but this tried something new and pulled it off pretty well, not really my thing exactly but it is good music I will admit.

This album is split between songs where he croons on nasally, and more laid back slightly less folky songs that don't assault my ears. The latter half are great, the former are terrible. Maggie's farm, Outlaw blues, Bob Dylan's 115th Dream are just bad Gates of eden, it's alright ma are somewhere in the middle She belongs to me, Mr Tambourine Man, Love minus zero, it's all over now, baby blue are good.

This whips, listening to Bob Dylan from the same era right before this was quite the contrast because this does the electric music thing that album was kinda sorta leaning into 1000x better. Not even slightly hiding the drug influnces in this one lmao. Underrated

Not a huge fan of reggae but this was a very enjoyable listen

Had to turn on edit mode for this one. Initially it was 1 star after hearing steamroller but some of the latter songs in this album are decent. This is like a warm blanket of an album, very bland though but not unpleasant (except steamroller that song is laughably bad)

Half the album isn't rap, the stuff that is is ok, a bit cheesy though. Just give me public enemy any day of the week over this
