A fun little one! Pretty catchy hooks and production is slightly out there, although not as off-the-wall as I was expecting but still cool. 7/10
Was fine overall. Maybe a bit too angsty for my taste. 5/10
I'm pretty shocked this wasn't on the original list, seems like exactly the type of commercially successful classic rock that there are quite a few of. The record itself is decent, but the hits are definitely hits for a reason, and the others vice versa. 5/10
I hadn't listened to The 1975 for a while, probably since they got popular when I was in high school. This record is a bit more varied than I expected from them, and is certainly a nice listen, but I couldn't recall too many of the specifics of the songs if I needed to. 6/10
I mostly enjoyed it. Even though I did read it on the Wiki, the influence from War on Drugs is very noticeable, but luckily that War on Drugs album was a nice surprise for me from the list so I liked this one too. 7/10
A silly little one. I liked the bluntness of it all, even if they really all sound similar. 8/10
It's just.... generic. Majority of the songs titles have either 'rock', 'roll', or 'blues' in them which perhaps reflects a lack of originality here. 3/10
Didn’t hate it. The songs really just meander around into random shapes which is fun. 6/10
Damn, the nostalgia is strong with this one... Starts off pretty well but gets very spotty beyond that. Everything just gets simplified to make the songs interesting for their full runtime. 6/10
Catchy but forgettable. 4/10
A few good moments but the rest is not for me. 3/10
For a metal record, it's very soft and melodic. Some of it is really pleasant, but I can't say I love the vocals for such a soft musical style (I think the singer works best on the harder songs). Decent enough! 6/10
Just couldn't get into it.... 3/10
Silky smooth and catchy! 7/10
Had heard this one a few times before. I think Sufjan has better albums, but this one is still solid. Album cover throws me off every time though still. 7/10
Awesome album. Tons of variation to keep it fresh and the songs themselves are just fun. 9/10
Noisey, thrashy, rough-around- the-edges. It was okay. 4/10
This was never really gonna go too well for me…. 4/10
Yeah this is a good one, and probably should've been the one on the list from Muse over Black Holes and Revelations. A bit too guitar-driven for my taste but I can't deny that it's good. 8/10
It grows... tiresome.. 4/10
Just not for me I think. 3/10
I could not imagine actively listening to this whole thing. As background music it's decent but most of the songs are just too repetitive and stale by the end. 4/10
I do like some more slower, more melodic A7X… 5/10
Rather generic. Sounds identical to like 30 other albums from the list so I don't really get it. 3/10
I must thank whoever added this here. It's a comedy album that still should be taken seriously. or the other way around - it's a serious album that uses comedy to lighten some of the messages. I've loved Bo for a while and the songs on this album some of his best. 9/10
This album pops up all over the place in online discourse, but I've never listened to it til now. I mostly did enjoy it! I didn't realize how much of an influence they were on bands I enjoyed like Beirut, with whom there is a lot of overlap here. 7/10
Decently fun, super hooky and more pop-centric than I expected. 6/10
Denzel is one of my favorite artists ever and I think pretty slept on in the rap world, so I'm super glad someone put him on this list. This album isn't my favorite from him (TA13OO), but it's still awesome and has some of his best rapping and bars. 9/10
A nice one. Maybe a bit too vague/poetic in the lyrics, but still sounds really good. 7/10
I think the production does a lot of the carrying on this one. It’s immaculately punchy and clean. The songwriting could definitely be better though. 7/10
Kinda cool. More art rock-y thank I expected from the album art and wiki. 6/10
Music is meh. I'm more blown away by the fact I've never heard of this woman and how commercially successful she was in her time. 4/10
It's kinda like if a circus troupe made artsy folk music... but like good? 7/10
I’m sorry I really tried but I just couldn’t do it. 1/10
Quite noisy and muddled. Not bad for a little bit but grows pretty old by the end of the thing. 5/10
Overall sound was good and some nice songwriting. Just not totally my type of music to where I’d thoroughly enjoy a whole album. 6/10
The sound is good, but I must admit all of the songs basically are extended interludes that vary between quite and wall-of-sound loud. 5/10
It’s a hooky little thing. Short and sweet, but ultimately pretty forgettable musical and thematically. 6/10
There's like a handful (+ maybe one or two) of pretty good songs. The rest is a bit generic.
To be honest, it sounds really good... like the overall sound is really nice and well made. But maybe my engineering-based brain just can't handle the uber-abstract lyrics to get any real meaning from the songs. 7/10
I was flip-flopping between "This is bangers" and "This is tiring, when will it end?". I love how punchy the drums are on many of the songs though. 5/10
Yeah it's nice! Cute and simple and catchy. 7/10
I didn’t expect Swedish folk/trip-hop to be the highlight of my day but here we are! This album slaps even without me understanding a single word. Ten-out-of-ten would Vedergällningen again. 10/10
Short and sweet. Tons of energy throughout and just a solid punk sound. 8/10
A pleasant little listen. 6/10
No doubt it’s a very solid album. I love the longer, more drawn-out song structure that Kevin does so well on this one. And the frickin’ baselines are killer. 8/10
Super chill for the most part. I liked it! The sequencing of tracks wasn’t my favorite though, with a lot of the harder songs towards the end. Besides that it’s pretty cool. 7/10
So so so so close to being a 5 with this one, but there's just a few rather forgettable tracks--looking at you, Intro and Demon Days :|. Everything else is fire though. 8/10
I can't say it's my favorite work from Bon Iver. Too soft and same-y for me, along with my inability to fully understand what their songs are about. 6/10
I like the last few songs. Starts out a bit too generic and just noise rock guitars in your face sounding for me. 6/10
I hadn't listened to this one in about a year so it was nice to go back to it. There's maybe 2-3 duds mixed in, but for the most part its a really solid album with super catchy hooks and interesting instrumentation. 8/10
I'd say it's fine. A few standouts and the rest is decent. 6/10
Great for background music but if I'm actively trying to listen to this I'm going to go crazy. 4/10
Some decent passages here and there but gets pretty stale stale after 50 mins of straight jamming. 5/10
Kinda cool. Reminds me of an abstract Black Sabbath or something. 5/10
A very solid, tough-in-cheek pop punk EP. It's just a few silly little punk songs with good hooks, not much else to say. 8/10
I've tried to love this album, and I've probably listened to it 10 times since it's come out, but I can't seem to get past mildly enjoying it. There's a few fantastic songs but many of the songs in between don't standout enough. 7/10
It's weird, the vocals on this one are like those "what English sounds like to people who don't speak English" and I never expexted that from Norwegian. I'm not complaining, it's a pretty fun album. 7/10
I really enjoy Men I Trust in small doses, but unfortunately this album runs way too long. 6/10
Not bad. It's like a more playful Linkin Park or something. I think the mixing of electronic and metal was done pretty well and results in some really cool passages. 6/10
It's pretty good. Starts super somber and slow and picks up with some rowdy ones towards the end. Quite nice! 7/10
This was a fun one. I've never really tried to get into Blink-182 so much but this makes me pretty curious about their catalogue. A lot of pretty, melodic stuff here to go with the brash pop-punk songs. 8/10
I love how unapologetically horny this album is at times. Just really goes for it and doesn't hold back. 8/10
Kinda cute and funny. Also pretty frickin' dark at times too. 6/10
I liked it! Good energy and songwriting. 7/10
Pretty cool! One or two of the songs don't do much for me (particularly the penultimate one), but the rest very elegant and pretty. 7/10
This was like Tom Waits in his jazzcat era mixed with Andre 3000 or something lol wild stuff. 5/10
Decent. A good mix of simple, indie sounding songs and then more grand, wall-of-guitars stuff, both of which are pulled off well. 6/10
A chill little album. 6/10
The overall sound is quite pleasant and pretty, but I don't think there was quite enough to grab and hold my attention for most of the songs. 4/10
Couldn’t totally get into it but a decent amount of fun tracks here. 6/10
Seems like the sorta thing that definitely should be on the original list. Not that it’s amazing, but just has the same vibe and relevance as a lot of the other albums there. 5/10
I'd say this is more down my alley than most on here, so I appreciate the addition of it to the list. I can't speak to the lyrical content, but instrumentally it sounds very good with a solid amount of variation, albeit lacking in originality. 8/10
It's good! Like a really nice mix of Fiona Apple and Norah Jones, her voice is silky and so pleasant. 8/10
I can't say I get it... it's certainly not bad, but really nothing to note either. 4/10
Love it. Just on the brilliance of Welcome to the Black Parade it could be a 5-star. 9/10
Kinda meh… “is she really going out with him?” Is super nostalgic for me because my parents played that loads in my childhood, but the rest didn’t make me feel much. 3/10
3 or 4 pretty good to really cool songs. The rest get quite boring with how repetitive they are. 5/10
Kinda cute kinda annoying and repetitive. 5/10
It’s just…. boring. Im sorry I don’t see what this adds to the list compared to the ~100 others that are so similar. 2/10
A lot of sounds going on here, not all good but many are also pretty solid. Unfortunately the lyrics are too often cringey or nonsensical to make much of it enjoyable. 4/10
Mostly a very catchy, cute little album. I wish Spotify's quality of the tracks was better because some of them would be banger pop song if they didn't sound so muddled and compressed. 7/10
This one was really great! Good vibes all around. 10/10
A very solid album. I was surprised by the range of sounds, with of course tons of the atmospheric electronic I expected but also more pop-rock sounding stuff too. Throughout the 73 minutes I never really wanted to turn it off. Nice! 8/10
I was really excited because it started off so strong. But many of the later tracks are kinda forgettable and bland. 6/10
I’ve tried a few times to get into this band and just can’t seem to do it. There’s very few moments that are truly interesting or that catch my ear. It’s like very quality background music. 4/10
