Nothing spoke to me or made me happy to listen.
I really have no clue why this list loves this woman so much. After giving the other three albums of her I had the misfortune to listen 2 stars, this one is even worse than the others and only gets 1. Unpleasant, sludgy noise. Fourth-rate garage band vibes.
I did not enjoy this album at all, I didn’t even like one song. There were elements that I was on with, but over all not sure why I even listened to the whole thing.
This is the third PJ Harvey album ob this list. I really tried to listen to it without prejudice, since i didn't like the other two. I still can't stand her voice nor her "singing" style. In the other albums at least i liked the band. This time i didn't. This was actually one of the worst albums for me on this list. I wish i could abstain from rating even a single star. There ist not even one song on this album, that i even remotely "liked".
Not for me.
A little too aggressive for my taste. some of her other songs I like though!

Kategoria powiedzenia wyspiarskie, z deszczu pod rynne, bo po Slayerowym picku nie sadzilem, ze cos jeszcze w tym tygodniu bedzie sola na rane, a jednak wylosowalo kolejny album od pani PJ Harvey, Rid Of Me, ktory jest jej drugim studyjnym krazkiem z 93, ktory jest follow upem do goraco przyjetego Dry, ktory juz pojawil sie wczesniej na liscie, tak w ogole jest to czwarta pozycja od tej pani, wiec juz nie tyle sama muzyka, co znudzenie nia wywoluje w czlowieku negatywnce uczucia, bo w przeciwienstwie do let england shake brakuje tutaj ciekawego grania wychodzacego poza standardy artystycznego indyjskiego rokowania, a za to jest klasyczne trio z Dry, wiec gitara, bas i drumy, do tego dodatkowe instrumentowanie od pani Harvey w postaci organow czy smyczkow, ktore slychac przede wszystkim na man-sizowym sextecie, ktory wyroznia sie tym, ze nie harczy jak wiekszosc materialu z tej plyty, ktory brzmi wrecz piwnicznie przez te przesterowane gitary i gleboki basior, co do strony lirycznej to nadal slychac podobne motywy co na Ridzie, wiec nadal zagubiona i nadal zla mloda dama ktora wyrzuca swe wnetrze jako kontent swych utworow, do tego dochodzi jeszcze zbrodnia na coverze dylanowskiego highwaya i tak zamyka sie prawie 50 minutowy odsluch, niby 1001 albumow na liscie, ale jakims dziwnym trafem znajdzie sie miejsce na polowe dyskografii lokalnych artystow wyspiarskich

Skal la være å gjenta meg selv, men dette er ikke min type musikksmak. Blir litt lamslått av at det får så gode tilbakemeldinger og finnes på 1001 album. Bare fordi en person varierer mellom å hviske inn i mikrofonen og hyle fra full hals gjør det ikke nyskapende og bra. Såvidt 1/5, burde være 0,5/5

Slightly better than the last one but pj Harvey is not for me. 2.5/10
I liked it kinda sounded like someone stepped on a cats tail at a few spots but good overall.
Just after half way something akin to a tune emerged. Otherwise it felt like we had wandered into a forge. May well be better live.

pretty rugid - not helped by the kinda dirty production. I get the grunge influences, and i like some of her later stuff but this was just pretty....shite.

i feel like i'm at my local watering in the mid 90's hole waiting for my favorite local band Rosemary Gates, and I'm listening to the opening local act... its fine, yet unremarkable. Its like background music at hot topic. I don't understand how this one and GFK got on here. top 1k? ever? there is no way this was groundbreaking in 93. perhaps its just my boomer sensibilities. top 3.... 1of5
