Reviews (page 13 of 13)

6/10 Highlight: Girls Got Rhythm

Anyway... Highlights: Highway to Hell Walk All Over You (Who-vibes)

This was my first ever AC/DC album. It was “just alright”. On to the next one.

Even in the context of its era its still boring

2 great songs and 1 good one. The rest were pretty generic sex or fighting songs which was kind of boring.

Meh - beyond the title track I didn’t really care about any of the songs. They all sounded the same, very one note. I will say that if I had heard this when I was in 6th grade I would have been OBSESSED with AC/DC.

I mean Highway to Hell is a fun song but I can't even call this an album, it's literally just one single 41 minute long song. This entire album is a deja vu trip 2/5

Dad rock. Highway To Hell is track 1, maybe 2 other songs really enjoyed but struggled to get through the whole album. Good to hear more AC/DC songs however it reminds me of growing up and blaring stadium anthems coming from my little brothers bedroom. Can appreciate the ground work this album put in for future hard rock albums.

Classic rock. 2/5

Outside of the the title track not AC/DC's best effort. RIP to Bon Scott

Other than Highway to Hell, nothing ever stands out to me. After GnR just two albums ago, I've had my fill of this style of hard rock. *Heard before.

Honestly a bit of a snoozefest for me - by the 6th album I think AC/DC ran out of ideas for original compositions and just began recycling their sound. Not only that but the lyrical content feels like it's written by a horny middle-schooler. Title track ain't bad though. Fav Tracks: Highway to Hell

A lot of them all sound the same. Very specific sound. Very simple and repetitive melody. The song highway to hell is classic.

Everything sounds the same but they got some catchy licks. Unfortunately the cringe of how "badass" they are combined with the safe vanilla sound make for a pretty boring listen.

Funny that this used to be consider "hard rock." Seems so tame now. Not my thing really.

my thought process listening to this album: "highway to hell": hell yeah this is gonna be a dope AC/DC album full with bangers. at this moment, I am expecting to, at some point, hear back in black, thunderstruck, dirty deeds, or any combination of the top AC/DC tracks. "Girl's got rhythm" to "Touch too much": there haven't been any super killer AC/DC tracks other than "thunderstruck" thus far, but these tracks all maintain the energy, provide killer riffs, and allow me to think that this album is still 4/5-5/5 range. "Beating around the bush" to "Get it hot": I am now desperate for a recognizable track, or anything resembling a breath of fresh air. Every song now sounds the same, and I'm sick of Scott's screaming vocals that offer no dynamics "If you want blood" to "Night prowler": all hope has been lost. I have succumbed to the AC/DC sound, nothing can save this album at this moment. 1 good track (and 9 other identically-sounding tracks) cannot make a good album. Any of these songs on their own could make their way into a dad-rock playlist, but I'm convinced that this album simply is not made for front-to-back listening. I juggled with different ratings, but if I'm being honest, it really just deserves a... 2/5

God this is a load of rubbish just ooo guitars going grrr and mid singing for an entire fucking album! Lord!

If ever you can hear a band name and know EXACTLY what the music is going to sound like, it is AC/DC. Every single song is the same as the last one. How they have become such a rock juggernaut, nay, behemoth is beyond me. Bang. Sodding. Average. I feel a headache coming on.

I liked a few tracks, Highway to Hell, Tough to Much and If you want blood but overall just not a huge fan of AC/DC. It all blends together

Textbook generic rock by numbers. The guitar tone is the only standout element with a tight bright distortion sound ringing out in the open chords and a generally fun & concise if unoriginal approach to solos. Good clean crisp drum sound too. Otherwise it's just dudes doing rock noises. Pretty stripped back in terms of production. They had a formula and somehow it worked for them for decades, but good God is it tedious. Truly the Top Gear of bands.

Not my cup of tea but it's not bad

Hadn't listened to this in 10 years. Was enjoying the first few tracks before I remembered that I don't listen to AC/DC because all their songs sound the same and are about the same things. Piss off/10.

Highway to hell: such a great album opener. Album is oozing with energy to the point that most of these sounds samey to me. 2* since I enjoyed it more overall than the last few albums, but I don't think I'd revisit it very often.

After two AC/DC albums, I can confirm that I like AC/DC's hits by themselves, but as a whole album it's too much. As I remarked with "Back in Black," there's just no levels here. It got old really quickly after the title track.

Heard before: some For a band that is constantly rewriting the same 2-3 songs, it’s kind of incredible how much the quality can vary track by track. I guess either a lick tickles your lizard brain or it doesn’t, because the lyrics are consistently stupid. But that’s what you expect. This whole thing is pretty much what you expect, I guess, but I don’t think it's the AC/DC record I’ll put on if I want one. Top tracks: If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It), Touch Too Much, Highway to Hell

Liked songs - Highway to Hell, Touch too Much Very famous album by the most famous Australian export on the global music scene. Seems like standard rock n roll music. Nothing overly special. 2

Listened to this while playing A Feast For Odin. I have never listened to an AC/DC album before...though of course I knew the title track. Didn't recognize any of the other songs though. Definitely not my style. I felt so straight after listening to it, I followed it up with Dua Lipa just to balance the scale.

Nostalginen hitti, mutta eipä muuten herätä juuri tunteita. Klisee bändin biisien identtisyydestä näkyy pitävän paikkansa.

Eäh tavallaan ACDC on omassa ACDC-luokassaan (kiitos pääsystä helvettiin satan tää on hyvä mesta) tyylipuhdasta ja siten virheetöntä. Ehkä koko levy kuitenkin tätä kamaa putkeen vähän tökkii. 2/5

It's like the band made the song Highway to Hell (admittedly a decently good song) but then just Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V that song 9 more times with a slightly different shade of paint. You hear one song here, you've heard them all, and they aren't interesting enough outright to want to listen to more than once

Nostalgisk og til tider kult, men blir for mye slitsom vokal for min smak

I’ve never been a fan of AC/DC’s brand of testosterone driven stadium rock. The most interesting thing about this album is the production. It manages to bring out a richness in what are generally pretty annoying vocals from Bon Scott. The guitars also sound great. The songwriting is boring and/or dumb, every song seems to be another take on lusting over girls, as though the big bad wolf hooting at little red riding with his jaw down wrote all these tracks. It’s basically sex predator rock, it even inspired an infamous serial killer. So yeah, I’d say this is vastly overrated and did not age well.

Probably better suited for a crowded bar in southern Nebraska where everyone is moderately inebriated and is tone deaf but still screams along anyways.

First track is classic but otherwise sucks. Probably great in 1979

I groaned a little when I saw this album pop up, but after the first 2 tracks i thought "hey, maybe it's not so bad". A couple more songs later and nope. The fatigue sets in so quickly with ACDC, people are not exagerrating when they say every song they make sounds the same. It's all the same structure, the same sound, the same tempo, same same same everything. It's 40 minutes but it feels like an hour, 4 minute songs feel like 7. I won't give it a 1 because the songs individually are catchy and fun, but listening to more than 1 in a row just shows how much of a one trick pony they are.

Not for me. I've never liked the singles but thought that was maybe just because they're overplayed, but no, don't like the vocals and the songs all sound very similar to each other. I appreciate that they're good/iconic in this field of "pure" rock but not really for me. Fav track: Touch Too Much

All sounds the same after the title track. Last album by Bon Scot

I'm afraid I have never been a fan of "hard rock" and in trying again, I still don't like it. Highway to Hell will always be kind of fun, but after listening to one song, I'm done.

File under: Toolbox Rock. It's like KISS but slightly less gross. But only slightly.

Highway to Hell is a banger. The rest is repetitive. It’s all good but a bit one note.

Really having a hard time enjoying this, mostly due to the vocals. Some fairly good bones on a few of the songs though. I'll call it a 2.5. Tolerable, but not for me.

boring

why do those 2 guys look like goblins

you've heard one acdc song you've heard them all

Pretty straightforward. Most of the music is about having sex. Fairly bereft of known songs. Kinda got tiring towards the end. At least it was easy to listen to, though. I'm stuck between a 2 and a 3 but Moby has me feeling slightly less charitable that I'd maybe normally be. Standouts: Highway to Hell, Touch Too Much, Beating Around the Bush

Classic but hard rock is not my cup of tea. Some great songs in here such as self-titled, Touch Too Much, and Night Prowler. Personally, too many repetitive riffs over saturated across the album.

Of all the hard rock bands and albums, AC/DC hit the sweet spot for gen X with Highway to Hell. It was just loud and heavy enough that dads everywhere in their 40s/50s today love the sense of rebellion, but not too loud or heavy that they're scared by it. To this day, old farts will call into the local classic rock radio station, spouting "J-Lac, b'y can you play some 'Tunderstruck by h'A.C.D.C. K-Rack racks!" And then they crack another beer. The band knows what they're good at and lean heavy into it. Blues riffs with heavy distortion, competent rhythm section, big face-melting solos, goblin vocals. AC/DC are effortlessly cool for 70's in a practical, working man way. The problem largely rests in their lack of consistent quality: you've heard one AC/DC song, you've heard most of them. The exception is their hit songs, which are usually quite good! There is only one hit song on this album. Can you guess what it is? AC/DC stews around in passable hard rock, usually quite bland and unremarkable. Most of Highway to Hell is not worth more than a second look, but you can rip the opening track for your road trip mixtape, so it's got some value in there.

Chugging pub rock

I get it. You like sex, man. All the songs sound the same and I only liked Highway to hell.

Basically the same song 10 times. At least three of them sounded like you shook me all night long, even though it isn't on this album. Highway to hell is a banger mind but another band that should condense their back catalogue into an EP.

Well apparently you just need to write ONE banger of a track and play it on repeat to be regarded as a rock n’ roll legend.

One song I liked but oh so samey. I went with two stars because If You Want Blood reminded me of Empire Records, which isn’t a bad thing.

kind of background music-ey. both of us arent the biggest fan of AC/DC, and it feels like they're playing the same song over and over.

No great revelation here - it's exactly the same-y aggro blues rock one would expect from an AC/DC album. This is probably the first time I've listened to a whole album of AC/DC since high school. It's not terrible. I don't need to turn it off or leave the room when it comes on or anything - it just ain't my cup of pickle juice. I'm not even invested enough to speak to any difference between Bon Scott era AC/DC and Brian Johnson era. I will say, the original Australian cover was cooler than this one.

It's not terrible, but I got kinda tired of it after a couple of songs.

Not my style, repetitive

Boring

sexiest garbage

About as straightforward as hard rock can get. AC/DC is fun enough but they’ve just got the least interesting/diverse catalogue in all of rock music. I enjoyed it for a while but eventually every song sounded exactly like the previous one. To be fair, AC/DC is leagues better than the punk rock that was also popular in the late 70s.

Don't want to listen to this. Why does Ryan hate me? Whatever "good" is, this is the opposite. Generic butt rock. Every song is the same. Never want to hear highway to hell again. Beating around the bush steals the Oh Well riff Not a complete abomination, so gets a 2. But no. Do better, list person.

It's just okay, pretty repetitive drum beats and guitar riffs. Highway to Hell may be the greatest song ever (by AC/DC) but that just means everything is downhill from that opener. AC/DC has a bunch of good songs but no good albums.

How many beer cans do you have to crush on your head before you're dumb enough to like this album? This is the kind of album listened to by dudes who go to the gym to get noticed by women but are baffled as to why only other dudes comment on their muscles.

Same song 10 times over.

i never liked ac/dc and i still don’t

🤷🏼‍♀️

Borde ha lyssna på dehär påväg tibaks ti helsingfors tbh

Några bra chunes o lite mer sloppy än back in black.... kändes 20 min längre än det var dock.

I mean, it's not bad, but there is no variation and not my vibe. Sounds like 40 minutes of the same mediocre song.

Not a fan

Dull, monotonous, cookie cutter rock.

i wish i liked this. i tried. i just don't.

I usually give AC/DC a flat 3, but I must be feeling grumpy today because this is really getting on my nerves. Some of the most unimaginative rock of the 70s.

ferdig med acdc

I've been to enough NZ Bbq's

2,5 Not a fan of AC/DC

All 12 songs sound more a less the same

if you want an SG and visions of smelly sex, you go it

I'll take Bon Scott over Brian Johnson any day, but it won't change how irritating they both sound to me. AC/DC's music is just too boring and generic for me. It's constantly playing SOMEWHERE whether you want to hear it or not. I'm so close to hating this band, but they're at least somewhat tolerable here.

I dont mind some ACDC, this is a solid album and probably one of their best.

just not my thing

Not my taste But an iconic tune on it Classic rock Lyrically very complex

Eh. I found this repetitive and kind of boring? I bobbed my head a bit, but then got bored part way through the album.

I expected to like this a lot more. I guess the proto-screamo gets old if it's a whole album at once. Can't deny the hits, but the rest of the album was ... fine.

not my favorite - okay...

Samey. Didn’t make it through.

For all intents and purposes, this entire album is just one 43 minutes long song. It works for some people, just like some people's favorite ice-cream flavor is vanilla. Somebody like me who likes to listen to Radiohead and Pink Floyd is not the target demographic. I like the occasional "Back in Black" or "Thunderstruck" in a rock playlist, but an entire album? Give me a nice scoop of lobster flavored ice cream. That's a real thing by the way.

Not a novel idea but it is basically the same song over and over, blends together. There are worse songs to repeat, but it’s just boring. Best song: Touch Too Much

Langweilig.

1979. Highway to Hell, If You Want Blood

The opening hook is one-of-a-kind, but rest of the record is as forgettable as it is memorable – you hear the crunching guitars on one track, you've heard on all, with lyrics designed to spark #metoo complaints. One big meh serving of troglodytic rock.

Standard radio rock. Not much stands out beyond the title track, If You Want Blood, and Beating Around the Bush.

never really been a fan of AC/DC. I guess when you hear the occasional jam its okay but a whole album was just corny and repetitive.

10 of the exact same songs put together as an album.

Back in black is a great album. This one only has "Highway to Hell" and the rest of the songs are mediocre.

Blandly repetitive outside of the title track, perhaps the only song on this LP with an interesting melody behind it.

all dc discography is a one long and boring song

Doldið hressandi, ekki eitthvað sem ég myndi hlusta á sjálf

"Superproducer 'Mutt' Lange sculpted AC/DC's rough-granite rock into chart-smart boogie on this album."

I mean a decent album but most of the songs sounded just like each other. There was a lack of diversity I think and there weren't any hidden gems in this album. The namesake and shook me all night were the only welcome songs. 4/10

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm not an AC/DC fan. There aren't any songs that I'll include in a playlist.

There was enough boring hard rock in the late 70s before this album was added to the heap. There is some interesting guitar playing on this LP long after the title track.

Angus Young is a guitar legend, but I didn't like the vocals.

one okay song

When I was listening I thought every song was around 8 minutes long and was going to comment that they could have made them more snappy. Upon checking after, to my surprise they were all 4 mins long. Bit samey, bit not that good. A couple stood out, but 2 songs is enough ACDC for me thank you.

Album 3 of 1,001. First AC/DC of this run. Title track is great, rest sounds the same as any other AC/DC song. A band that have never really clicked with me, and likely never will.

Each song is a carbon copy of the next. Enjoyable, but repetitive and a bit tiresome.

One trick pony.

Ok, still not a fan

Melodiös hårdrock. Enformig skiva.

Rocks, but not in a way that seems much different or better than their contemporaries. The riffs are well-executed, the lyrical material meh, the vocals consistent. Above average, but there are too many exemplary hard rock albums out there. Other albums.

2 stars

This hardly feels like the definitive AC/DC album that one must listen to.

nice pop rock but................nice pop rock

Dated. Rebellious at the time but that energy isn't enough to carry it today. Musically very monotone

Not the biggest AC/DC fan, but as far as AC/DC albums go this is probably the one I would be most likely to listen to.

I might have appreciated this if it were my first time hearing it, but I burnt myself out on AC/DC years ago.

None of the other songs compared to the title track

I don't like AC/DC at all. I'm pretty sure it's that voice, it grates on my nerves nd drives me mad. Without that nails on a blackboard singing I might quite enjoy this band.

Too much radio play killed this for me.

Don’t really enjoy listening to full albums of theirs... maybe a Greatest Hits would be nice.

5/10, a good time, but nothing about it really sticks with you. Middling at best

Meat and potatoes stuff going down here; with a large side order of innuendo. Not for me

Not my tang

This album certainly sent me to hell, in a "I am being eternally punished" way.

Fine, I like the hits, but this largely sounds the same to all other rock of this time

Repetitive and boring.

That Australian cover is as good as the album. 1/5

Man, I just can't make myself like AC/DC. I've tried many times, and gave it a good shot this time - but I just can't. This ain't for me.

I just do not like AC/DC

Acdc is overplayed

Not my cup of tea

I dont get the hype behind this album dont like it at all 1.7/10

terrible voice technique and sound. mid riffs

song i didn't dislike: highway to hell drunkcore, obnoxious, exhausting 10/100

Not as bad as I thought it would be but not good. Foghat was better at this kind of Rock

This is such a chore to listen to. I guess this is what happens when you can't stand their one song.

There are many things you can do before you die. Listening to this shit is one of them. You can do it, but ask yourself, should you? should you really do it? should you really listen to this shit? should you really do it motherfucker? S H O U L D Y O U?

I've never been able to stand these guys - every song sounds the same and someone needs to tell them that screaming isn't the same thing as singing.

I have no more words for how much I detest this group.

I hate this band

Amazing instrumentals, ruined by awful vocals. That's AC/DC. All their music is the same, I almost admire their lack of willing to change, but their does come a point where they are really taking the piss. I really think that if you take the repetitive formula and absolutely god awful vocals out of their music, you would have something amazing, dare I say even in a similar league to the likes of Led Zeppelin and bands in that vein. But unfortunately, they completely ruined it in favour of the style that they are so famous for.

Nope! Next...

I love the SONG highway to hell/ACDC in general… as an album I just am taken back to cutting weight for wrestling in high school.

Fine and glad I listened, but not my jam.

Cannot listen to this at all

Sounds like a fat turd

Sucks butt

Annoying as hell

This went on forever and scored 0/10 for the duration pretty much, albeit with a possible half mark for the title track given the opening riff and that the connection always makes me laugh when anyone mentions “Highway to Holiness” a VCFS organisation based in Haringey… I’d be up for albums on weekends too if others are? Tom.

not my taste at all

Honestly not my favorite, I thought most songs sounded the same and blended into each other

I don't like AC/DC. All the songs feel the same.

i really dont like ac/dc

Thank you for reminding me how much I do not like this band. I get the appeal to this band but my God it does not appeal to me. I honestly wish it did. I wish I see what so many people see in one of, if not, the greatest and most important hard rock band in music, but I just don't. And that's okay.

stupid

This is so boring. I get that their sound was unique but it was an hour in hell for me.

Thought some of these songs were never going to end. 1/5 ⭐️

this album gets worse with age

Straightforward powerrock

I didn't want to listen to it again, I listened it in my youth and now I see it as a bland album.

not my type

Dogwater

Boring, stopping listening 1/3 of way through.

GET ME OUT OF HERE

Fast paced riff laden laddish metal rock not unlistenable but then why would I not really my thing.

the title track rips but unfortunately there are 9 other songs after it

Like quite a lot of the guitar and rhythm section work - fun in a classic pop way (could easily be Sweet, T-Rex or early Bowie). But god, those vocals, lyrics and image. Just so irritating and offputting.

It's clearly not a season ticket

not a fan

Not really my thing. There is a time and place for some of AC/DC's biggest singles, Highway To Hell being one of them, though I've never been enticed to listen to an album of theirs. Having done so, I'm even less inclined. Feels harsh to rate it one star, but I can't find much to enjoy in this. Best Tracks: - Highway To Hell Worst Tracks: - Girls Got Rhythm - Walk All Over You Rating: 2/10

Just can’t get on board with these guys. The lyrics are basic with a sophomoric subject matter. Vocals are just annoying. I do respect their impact on metal.

SHITTY ALBUM HOLY FUCK

Unknown Pleasures, do Joy Division. 1/5

Lowest common denominator music. Only listened to it once, where I've tried to give every record here two shots. There's no point, and no additional value I could gain from more time spent with Angus and the crew.

Maybe the worst vocals on an album I've ever heard, this is unlistenable 1/5

God can this list please include some fucking half decent hard rock so I don't have to keep giving them bad reviews and have it as one of the lowest reviewed genres on my profile. This album is like the opposite of of ahead of its time. It sounds like if someone in the 50s decided to make a hard rock album. It's so quintessentially cringe Gen X, the type of Gen X who votes Pauline Hanson, complains about woke and the Satantic imagery of the French Olympics despite this being their favourite album. I'm convinced this album sounded dated on the day it came out despite releasing in '79. A truly miserable experience. 2/10

Hate this band hate this song im giving it a 1 based off of vibes

Not my type especially after 30s ages..

This record is ass.

Grow up.

Refused to listen.

*No music, just noise and screaming.

Another one I just really did not like. This is my second AC/DC album I got since I started this, the other one was Back In Black. Both of them have been 1/5 for me. But I've been told their early stuff is better so I'll give that a shot too. So my actual problem with AC/DC is that it feels like they write songs about being jerks to women solely to try to impress other dudes and I like music that is about being jerks to women to impress no one. Like the day before this I got Magazine, another misogynist band, and that band is cool because at least Howard Devoto doesn't write about it that would impress middle school boys. He almost talks about love in a way that a homeless man on the bus would give me an anecdote without me asking him. So that's why Magazine rules and AC/DC sucks. That and every AC/DC song sounds exactly the same to me. I don't like AC/DC.

Not interesting.

A younger me would hate me saying this but, Highway to hell is the best song on this album and the rest is pretty meh

that's super tasteless bullshit

Genuinely one of my least favorite listening experiences ever. Back In Black I went into knowing I'd dislike because every hit there is the bane of my existence, but I had some small hope that the deep cuts here would be better in some way, shape, or form. But, nope! In fact, every single song here is arguably the exact same track as the last, and when it finally bothers to change it up on the final track, it may be different, but it's still bad. Seriously, you guys critique the hip hop albums for their objectification of women and their repetitive lyrics, but at least they don't have Angus Young producing the most mediocre guitar riff on top of that. I just fail to see how anyone cares for this band. You want high octane energy? Go five over the speed limit, you'll get about the same high.

reminds me of my old roommate who was obsessed with ac/dc objectively they are talented but subjectively this genre sucks and so did my roommate

i hated it

Never seen so much filler in an album Bon Scott died on this shit

Ughhhh..... not a fan of this band. I only know the title track here so we'll see. Yeah, no. Terrible. Not for me at all.

I'm pretty sure that if you fed 5 random AC/DC songs into an AI, it could produce a discography so similar to the real one that no one would be able to tell the difference

Can’t bring myself to listen to this. I HATE this band. 1 star

Although I listen hard rock at some times, I dislike AC/DC, mainly because of this terrible screaming voice. And the stage performance in a schoolboys uniform when you are over 50-60 years old is ridicoulous.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. THEY LOOK LIKE LITTLE GOBLIN SLEEP PARALYSIS MONSTERS. they look so inbred. free me highway to hell- :I 😐. 2 girls got rhythm- 3 walk all over you- 2. so sleepy. im not even making it halfway through these songs for my own sanity touch too much- 4 beating around the bush- had to stop the song to watch trainspotting youtube shorts in order to calm down shot down in flames- stop. 4 or 5 get it hot- 2 if you want blood- :( thats me having to hear this. 2 love hungry man- enough. 3 night prowler- i refuse they shouldve faced time for this album. i cant give you a zero so i give you a one

every single song this band makes sounds exactly the same.

blah blah blah. Couple ok ones but man they had boring material and his voice is like nails on a chalkboard after a while

This sounds like sparkles singing the whole time but worse

No not my cup of tea

I feel like I was on a highway to hell listening to this album.

Eh, well known AC/DC

Not my cuppa.

You know I really tried going into this with an open mind considering how much I absolutely loathe the title track. I hate being dismissive but this is everything I hate about this era of hard rock. The riffs and playing are present, but they're utterly wasted on these monotonous and shallow excuses for hard rock songs. For one, I cannot stand these yelpy and shrieky vocals. This is a general gripe I have with this era of rock but they're extra intolerable here because of how shallow I find most of the writing to be. Except for maybe 'If You Want Blood (You've Got It)', the anthemic choruses are nothing to write home about either as they all stick to this very predictable sound and progression. I'll give the closing track 'Night Prowler' some credit, it's certainly more ambitious on both the structural and lyrical fronts. Lyrically it's a lot more sinister than most of the other affectionately written songs here. I don't know how to feel about it, but at least it's different and it grooves pretty hard in the second half. Again, the playing is good and the riffs are muddy and dirty as I'd expect out of this genre, but that's a minimum requirement to even be qualified as hard rock. What truly matters is how well you can expand on those rudimentary sounds and piece them together to make memorable songs; something this album fails horribly at for me. There's a distinct sound attached to AC/DC and it's one that I hope I don't have to listen to again for a long time. Even this album cover pisses me off.

Bad bad and more bad

Not for me

Not a popular opinion, but I just never liked their music. Like most people, I've heard many of their songs throughout my life, and I still find it extremely repetitive. (How many times can you repeat the song title during a chorus ?) I honestly think some people enjoy it simply because it's presented as a classic...

Ugh. So samey. Do not like, this one is even worse than Back In Black. I was almost tempted to skip listening to this but forced myself. Listens: 1 Fave Track: None Rating: 1

Dorky as hell, not cool at all

Fine, if you don't listen to the lyrics.

Bit much for me.

Bland, Generic

I had always heard the “all AC/DC” songs sound the same thing but after two of their albums in one week, it’s even worse than I thought.

This music is not to my taste.

Nah fuck this shit lmao it's so boring to me

F u I'm not putting this on

This album is the same song played 12 times

There's wimp rock and then theirs dumb rock. This is dumb rock where screaming seems to matter. Don't ask me ... I've never had the luxury of shutting down my brain.

This album screams 50 year old white conservative truck driver and “I was born in the wrong generation” type music. It’s aged Terribly, the guitar solo are forgettable and corny, and these vocals are so painful. I could barely distinguish between songs they all use the same formula, I’m glad this is 40 minutes cause I don’t know how much more I could take.

Piss poor

you dont really expect me to listen to this AGAIN do you???

:( hate it

Did not enjoy this one really. I don't like ACDC and this just didn't change that whatsoever.

Wish I could give zero stars. I fucking hate this band and I can’t believe I listened to this entire thing. I can listen to any album now

Things from Australia I'd sooner experience than listening to this mediocre paint by numbers band and their nails on a chalkboard voice having lead singer again: - a kick to the balls from a kangaroo - a Vegemite enema - being a practice dummy for the national rugby team - sharing a small bathtub with five Tasmanian devils during mating season - giving Robert Murdoch a food massage while listening to him talk about ethics in media One broken electric plug out of five 🔌

Amongst the most dogshit things I've ever had to listen to.

AC/DC are basically the epitome of the style of boring classic rock that I just can't get behind no matter how much people hype it up. The lyrics are trite and the songwriting is too straightforward. Some of the guitar tones and soloing are nice though I will admit.

Leiðigjarnt rokk. Nennissiggi.

My goodness, this is seriously sh!te

Has always been one of the classic rock bands that irritates me the most. I hate the sound of the guitars and vocals, the repetitive choruses, and the macho lyrics.

ughhhh nein

AC/DC is an exemplary 80s rock band, it's just that I really, REALLY dislike 80s rock bands.

While never being big fan, I’ve always liked the way ACDC rebounded after their singer died, finding a guy who sounded like Bon Scott with his balls in a vice and putting out a mourning album, which turned out to be one of the greatest selling albums of all time. That said, if I were to compare this to the Van Halen offering from a while back, I’d give VH the nod in the late-70s-commercial-rock-I-didn't-like-then-or-now category.

When there are a 1,001 albums to listen to you irnevitably get some gems and some dreck. This is the latter unfortunately.

Hajvej Tuhelj

Just no.

Loved Highway to Hell, swear the rest all sounded very similar.

No thanks, already heard all the AC/DC I ever need to hear.

-Title track is a hella simple song, vocalist is the main star of it for sure. Makes me feel like I'm driving down the road sunny day wearing a leather jacket and I have a beautiful woman alongside me who has like, 10 piercings. -Girl's got Rhythm: I think this song is about sex!!! -Wouldn't go out of my way to listen to this but it's good background music for a road trip like at the beginning where motivation is high and we have lots of caffeine.

Just getting into this album. Love the title track
